If your looking for a fun filled skiing destination...Whistler is the place. I went a few years ago and it was the best skiing resort I have been to.

 My family stayed in the Chateaux (Chateaux Whistler) and this was superb. The hotel has everything you can imagine- a huge selection of restaurants, bars etc.

There is a huge swimming pool, jacuzzis all at the base of the slopes - so you can relax by the pool while watching the skiing. Regarding the skiing - the hotel has dedicated the whole Basement level as their boot/ski room. you then walk out of the boot room and you are at the bottom of the slopes - so no lugging skis anywhere. its planned out perfectly.

There are various runs- for all the family - ranging from easy blues to difficult blacks. Seventh Heaven is a treat. This is the highest point on the resort and has to be done.

There is a lone chairlift that takes you up - and as i said it has to be included in a days skiing. Whister Village is beautiful - full of shops, bars and restaurants. It is very tranquil and relaxing after a hectic day. This beats Europe skiing in my opinion and i will be going back again soon.
