To mark the film’s release in May, Nottingham City and County have declared May as Robin Hood Month and have created a programme of medieval events including re-enactments, jousting, archery, family fun days and a May Day parade led by Robin Hood. Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood – a new exhibition showing props and costumes of the six leading actors, including Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett can also be viewed until the end of October at Nottingham Castle and Sherwood Forest.
The final tribute to the legend is the Robin Hood Card which allows entry into the seven key Robin Hood linked attractions at reduced rates as well as acting as a discount card at selected venues, restaurants and bars.
