Petra, Jordan
We went on a Thomson Red Sea cruise in the wintertime on the Thomson Celebration.

A week in Sharm el Sheikh first at the Dreams Vacation Complex nice but not 4 star, more like 3 star.

The food was not bad - a good all-inclusive service and well worth it!

The second week we bathed in luxury on the ship for 7 fantastic days.

I'd recommend that you buy your excursions ashore when you arrive as it's half the price.

We wanted to see Petra so arriving in Jordan (Aquaba) we caught a taxi which charged us £55 for a return trip to Petra.

He waited for 3 hours whilst we were there and paid for us to get in!

He must have got cheap tickets as the cost is £21 to get in alone.

He also bought our dinner of fruit and bread on the return trip, as well as a tour of Aquabaon on our return to the ship.

They are wonderful people here. On the whole a good all-inclusive holiday - recommend to anyone who is contemplating the Red Sea area.

The cruise also called in at ports to travel by bus to Cairo and Luxor but we didnt take up those offers as we were too hot to travel hours on end in the desert by bus.
