TOM CRUISE has become a real-life action hero for the fourth instalment of Mission Impossible being filmed in Dubai.

The actor, above with Dubai's ruler Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has been performing daredevil stunts including dangling from a wire outside the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa which stands 2,717 feet tall.

Former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff owns an apartment in the spire-crowned building which opened in January. The observation deck on level 124 "At The Top" offers breathtaking views of the city and from next January a new restaurant, At. mosphere, will open on level 122.
