WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE HOLIDAY? Our honeymoon was pretty special. St Barts for a week and then Twin Farms in Vermont. It was perfect, lots of eating and chilling out.

AND YOUR WORST? St Moritz, a year after I met Kenny. The travel agent said it would be lively but it was off-season and the only restaurant open was a formal one so Kenny had to borrow a jacket and tie.

ESSENTIAL TRAVEL GADGET? Now we have children the iPad is essential. You never know when you're going to get delayed.

BEST HOLIDAY BOOK? The Ian Rankin Rebus books. I'm a judge on The British Sports Book Awards so next holiday I'll be taking autobiographies by Paul Merson, Graeme Swann and Gary Neville.

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME ON HOLIDAY? We like to train every day so the children might go to a kids' club while we exercise then we'll all have lunch. In the afternoon, we'll try the watersports or the pool.

WHERE WOULD YOU REVISIT? Southern California. It's such an idyllic destination with sunshine 350 days a year.

WHERE NEXT? We're visiting Chiang Mai in Thailand and then on to the Banyan Tree hotel in Phuket.
