In the midst of rolling fields near Malden, Kent, the spar is off the beaten track and the perfect spot for a relaxing spa treatment.

The company - which has a base in Plymouth, too - is known for using soothing minerals and are pioneers in 'Dead Sea' and 'healing-earth' home spa therapies.

Handed a treatment menu - we were spoilt for choice with the huge selection - we opted for the Shiatsu deep tissue massage and Spa Find Peace Hot Stones Massage, which both lasted for an hour and a half.

The first uses the Japanese art of shiatsu, Swedish massage techniques and sports massage to leave your muscles really relaxed. Incorporated was a body exfoliation, which is designed to leave the skin feeling toned and supple.

The second treatment, which uses Hawaiian hot stones to release tension from the body, was the best choice for ultimate relaxation.

It begins with a warm foot compress and is followed by the hot stones massage.
